Newborn Photography Cumbria

Newborn photography is one of our favourite forms of photography as each session is so special and completely unique.

As parents ourselves, we know how quickly babies change and you only have a very small window of opportunity to capture those precious early moments and preserve them forever.

At With Love Photography, we create the perfect environment for your newborn photo shoot in our studio in Maryport, Cumbria. The studio is a comfortable travelling distance from local towns in Cumbria, including Workington, Cockermouth and Carlisle. We often find that the car journey to the photographers studio is enough to put your newborn in to a contented sleep which allows us to capture some great photos and pictures of your baby.

If you are reading this page then you are possibly pregnant and you are planning a maternity or newborn photo shoot or even both. Congratulations on what is a very special time and now is the right time to plan and book your photo session with us as you will have plenty of other things to be thinking about in the days leading up to the birth of your baby. We recommend booking your photo shoot after your 12 or 20 week scan. We can be very busy at certain times of the year and we have to leave plenty of space in our diary so we can be flexible with bookings. Babies do not always arrive on their due date and can arrive weeks either side so we never take too many bookings.

You will not need to bring any props with you as our studio is full of blankets, baskets, bowls, hats and headbands.

We also encourage mum and dad to take part in the photo shoot and these are images that not only you but your children will really treasure in years to come. Don’t worry, we use soft lighting and flattering angles.

Our editing style is designed to bring out the natural beauty of a newborn baby and parents but of course we can edit out blemishes, rashes etc if you would like us to.

Once your images have been carefully selected and re-touched we will welcome you back for a viewing where you can choose your images. We provide prints, digital images, canvas and acrylics in a wide variety of sizes and formats.
